Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors (KKC) is inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity for general trucking services at the Bull Arm Site, Trinity Bay, in Newfoundland & Labrador (NL), Canada for the Hebron Project.

The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:
SO777-1 Trucking Services
·General roadway freight services for project needs.
·Pick-up and delivery of materials by means of tractor trailers, open or closed deck, or straight body truck.
·Areas covered by this interest include continental North American including international, national, provincial and local communities.
·Loads and cargo may vary but generally are to be bundles, big bags, 20ft containers,40ft containers, pallets, drums secure on pallets and from time to time loose or by cardboard box for local deliveries.
·The carrier must be able to cover and protect by means of tarps items that required such protection.
·The carrier must have proper equipment to secure loads on open deck in compliance of provincial and federal regulation.
·The carrier must carry out its duties in full respect of load limitations within or outside the province.
·In answering this expression of interest the carrier/contractor must be fully aware of the ferry restrictions and limitations present in Newfoundland in Labrador and must be able to demonstrate its ability to accommodate our various needs for prompt delivery.

SO777-2 Trucks and float for oversized load
·Trucking services are required for construction equipment, oversized loads and/or overweight loads.
·Contractor must hold permits or be capable of obtaining relevant permits for extra wide, long and/or wide loads.
·Contractor must be capable of providing escort services for those loads that legally require it them.
·Typically loads should be provided by means of drop deck trailer or equivalent.

KKC in its sole discretion reserves the right to make the final determination of which applicants will receive an Invitation to Tender (ITT), which applicant(s) or combinations thereof will be awarded the final contract(s), or alternatively to not proceed with the ITT process.

The Bull Arm Fabrication site will be operating on a special project labour agreement. A Project description is available on the Hebron Project website (www.hebronproject.com).

Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors strongly supports providing opportunities to commercially competitive Canadian companies and in particular those from Newfoundland and Labrador. At the Pre-Qualification stage companies will be required to complete a brief Canada/Newfoundland & Labrador Benefits questionnaire and will be asked to acknowledge their willingness to comply with the Benefits requirements. At the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage a comprehensive Benefits Questionnaire will be required to be completed.

Potential contenders are strongly encouraged to register with BIDS.ca.

Registration with BIDS.ca is, however, not a prerequisite for being considered for inclusion in our supplier database. If potential suppliers chose not to register with BIDS.ca, they are requested to advise KKC that they will not be registering and to request direct registration in KKC’s supplier database.
