PACKAGE NUMBER: SC925 TITLE: Bull Arm Site Industrial Hygiene Services
Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors (KKC) hereby invites interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) related to the future issuance of Requests for Qualifications and subsequent Requests for Tender for the following Scope of Work/Supply/Services package in connection with KKC’s EPC services for the Hebron GBS Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
Due to the nature of construction activities at the Bull Arm Fabrication Site, the services of an Industrial Hygiene consultant are required to quantify the health and environmental risks to personnel working on site, as well as assist KKC in developing, implementation and maintenance of risk reduction plans.
The scope of work shall as a minimum include:
•Formulate and provide recommendations for the control of occupational stressors and operational environments, which can affect the well-being, and efficiency of personnel at the Bull Arm site.
•Develop and implement an approved comprehensive initial hygiene program for the Hebron Project.
•Design and provide comprehensive workplace monitoring plans to maintain environmental surveillance of identified health hazardous operations or conditions.
•Technical direction of the OH&S programs, including but not limited to, exposure monitoring, noise and ventilation surveys, light quality surveys, dust concentration testing and data analysis and interpretation.
•Review plans of new facilities and changes to existing facilities to ensure that engineering designs provide for adequate environmental controls for the elimination and/or control of hazards.
•Provide training programs designed to inform employees of occupational health hazards and methods of protection.
•Maintain workplace monitoring records.
•Monitor the effectiveness and operation of personal protective equipment (PPE) programs.
•Conduct noise level surveys and serve as technical advisor on matters concerning hearing conservation.

Participation in this EOI process, including any statements or representations, whether oral or written between KKC and interested applicants, shall not create or be deemed to create, any binding legal relationship or contract.
