PACKAGE NUMBER: SC761O TITLE: Prefabrication of Carbon Steel Conductor Guide Tube Stabilizers Subcomponents

Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors (KKC) hereby invites interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) related to the future issuance of Requests for Qualifications and subsequent Requests for Tender for the following Scope of Work/Supply/Services package in connection with KKC’s EPC services for the Hebron GBS Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

The Scope of Work includes the prefabrication of pipe and conductor guide tube support stabilizer subcomponents for each of four (4) each Main Guide Decks and Conductor Guide Frames. The total quantity of subcomponent prefabrication for all four (4) decks is estimated to be
70-metric tonnes.

Work for J-Tube and Riser pipe alignment stabilizers generally includes:
• Prefabrication (cut, prep, fit, weld) of carbon steel plate
• surface preparation and coating (painting)

Work for Conductor Guide Tube alignment stabilizers generally includes:
• Rolling of 10mm carbon steel plate to 463mm radius
• prefabrication (cut, prep, fit, weld) of rolled plate and plate steel
• surface preparation and coating (painting)

Prefabrication Work Orders will be awarded in two Phases. Phase 1 work for EL50m and 74m stabilizers, estimated to be
600EA and
35 MT, and is anticipated to be awarded 15-Feb-2014 and shall be completed 1-Jun-2014. Phase 2 stabilizers at EL98m and 118m, is similar (
35 MT) and is anticipated to be awarded in 3Q/4Q-2014.

All raw/bulk steel material to be free-issued by KKC. All transportation of bulk materials and completed subcomponents by KKC.

This prefabricated subcomponent package will be bid on international competitive basis. Invited fabricators must have experience in offshore, subsea, or heavy steel fabrication, and specifically experience welding grade S355 CV1 and CV2 steel material. Invited NL and other Canadian fabricators will be selected based on previous prequalification under package SC761. In addition, certain select and prequalified fabricators under packages SC937, SC606, and SC603 may be invited to bid.

Participation in this EOI process, including any statements or representations, whether oral or written between KKC and interested applicants, shall not create or be deemed to create, any binding legal relationship or contract.
