Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors (KKC) is inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity for DWS Mooring Brackets & Tow-to-Field Towing Brackets for the Bull Arm Site, Trinity Bay, in Newfoundland & Labrador (NL), Canada for the Hebron Project.

The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:
BN667 DWS Mooring Brackets & Tow-to-Field Towing Brackets

Deep Water Site Mooring Brackets (12 ea) - Will be used to attach the mooring chains to the GBS during its deep water construction phase afloat in Bull Arm. Nine of the brackets will be located on the outer base of the GBS and three will be installed in the shore anchor sites. The Mooring brackets will be cast c/w a forged steel pin
Tow to Field Towing Brackets – Will be used to attach the towing lines of the towing vessel during the tow-to-field operation from Bull Arm deep water site to the offshore location (350 Kms SE of St. Johns). The towing brackets will be cast.
Cast Structural Steel - The cast brackets shall be delivered in accordance with the following requirements:
• NORSOK STANDARD M-122 (cast structural steel)
• ExxonMobil GP 29-01-47
• Prelim. Mooring bracket dimensions 1.5m x 1.5m x 0.9m. Approximate weight of 4.5 metric tonnes.
• DWS Mooring brackets to be designed for Approx. 1800 metric tonnes capacity, design will be supplied
• Steel grade 420 MPa
• Forged pins w/ a minimum yield 700 MPa
• Towing bracket to be designed for approx. 900 metric tonnes, design to be supplied.
• Prelim. Towing bracket dimensions 1.5m x 1.25m x 0.67m. Approximate weight of 2.5 metric tonnes
Work is estimated to start in or around April 2013.

KKC in its sole discretion reserves the right to make the final determination of which applicants will receive an Invitation to Tender (ITT), which applicant(s) or combinations thereof will be awarded the final contract(s), or alternatively to not proceed with the ITT process.

The Bull Arm Fabrication site will be operating on a special project labour agreement. A Project description is available on the Hebron Project website (www.hebronproject.com).

Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors strongly supports providing opportunities to commercially competitive Canadian companies and in particular those from Newfoundland and Labrador. At the Pre-Qualification stage companies will be required to complete a brief Canada/Newfoundland & Labrador Benefits questionnaire and will be asked to acknowledge their willingness to comply with the Benefits requirements. At the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage a comprehensive Benefits Questionnaire will be required to be completed.
