Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors (KKC) is inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity for Steel Profiles for the Bull Arm Site, Trinity Bay, in Newfoundland & Labrador (NL), Canada for the Hebron Project.

The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:
BN662 Steel Profiles

- The Hebron GBS will require various types of steel profiles to be used in the fabrication of mechanical outfit supports as well as secondary structures.
- Steel profiles are to be manufactured and supplied in accordance with the document CAHE-KA-RSZZZ-50-000-0009 Specification for Structural Steel.
- Base case 50 Metric Tonnes approx. (Option for a further 1270 Metric Tonnes approx.)
1.Rolled Sections - To be European standard members which may consist of, but is not limited to HE500A, HE200A, IPN 300, IPE 500, IPE 400, etc.
Hebron steel grade:S355-CV1 –
Sections of thickness t < 25 mm shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements of EN 10225 Grade S355G1, S355G1+N, S355G4 or S355G4+M
•Sections of thickness t ≥ 25 mm shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements of EN 10225 Grade S355G11, S355G11+N or S355G11+M
•Additional requirements to chemical composition (all steel grades, all thicknesses):
o C ≤ 0, 16%
o S ≤ 0, 025%
o P ≤ 0, 025%
•Sections of thickness t = 25 mm shall be Charpy V-notch impact tested at -40°C.
•Certification (all thicknesses): EN 10204 Type 3.1
2. Hollow Sections- To be standard members which may consist of, but is not limited to Square, Rectangular and/or Circular hollow sections (ex. O.D. 914 x 15.88 )
Hebron steel grade:S355-CV1
Hollow sections shall be delivered in accordance with EN 10210 Grade S355NH, with additional / modified requirements as follows:
• C ≤ 0, 16%
• Certification: EN 10204 Type 3.1
Hollow sections supplied in accordance with Norsok MDS Y07 (included in Norsok standard M-120) are acceptable.
Electric welded hollow sections shall not be applied for thicknesses t > 12, 5 mm
3. Sections - To be standard members which may consist of, but is not limited to Equal Leg Angles, Unequal Leg Angles, Channels, flat bar, etc.
Hebron steel grade: S235-NT, S275-NT or S355NT
Plates and rolled sections shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements of the following standards and grades:
• S235-NT: EN 10025 Grade S235JR
• S275-NT: EN 10025 Grade S275JR
• S355-NT: EN 10025 Grade S355J0
Certification: EN 10204 Type 2.2.
4. Hot finished Tubulars
Hebron steel grade: S235-NT, S275-NT or S355NT
Hot finished tubulars shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements of the following standards and grades:

6. S275-NT: EN 10210 Grade S275J0H
7. S355-NT: EN 10210 Grade S355J0H
Certification: EN 10204 Type 2.2.

KKC in its sole discretion reserves the right to make the final determination of which applicants will receive an Invitation to Tender (ITT), which applicant(s) or combinations thereof will be awarded the final contract(s), or alternatively to not proceed with the ITT process.

The Bull Arm Fabrication site will be operating on a special project labour agreement. A Project description is available on the Hebron Project website (www.hebronproject.com).

Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors strongly supports providing opportunities to commercially competitive Canadian companies and in particular those from Newfoundland and Labrador. At the Pre-Qualification stage companies will be required to complete a brief Canada/Newfoundland & Labrador Benefits questionnaire and will be asked to acknowledge their willingness to comply with the Benefits requirements. At the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage a comprehensive Benefits Questionnaire will be required to be completed.

Potential contenders are strongly encouraged to register with BIDS.ca.

Registration with BIDS.ca is, however, not a prerequisite for being considered for inclusion in our supplier database. If potential suppliers chose not to register with BIDS.ca, they are requested to advise KKC that they will not be registering and to request direct registration in KKC’s supplier database.
