HEBRON GBS Project- Bull Arm - Package: Pipes, Fittings and Flanges (6Mo/Superduplex/ Titanium)

Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors (KKC) is inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity for Pipes, Fittings and Flanges for the Bull Arm Site, Trinity Bay, in Newfoundland & Labrador (NL), Canada for the Hebron Project.

The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:
BL603 Pipe, Fittings and Flanges

Piping Bulk Materials is expected to be purchased in two major grades:
Titanium
6Mo
Some small quantities in carbon quality can be expected.

Minimum Technical Requirements:
Titanium piping fitting and flanges to be grade 2
SS pipe fittings and flanges to be Type 6Mo ( UNS 31254)
Suppliers of seawater resistant materials shall be qualified in accordance with Exxons GP 29-01-04 (which is based on Norsok standard M-650)
Piping and materials to be according to ASME B31.3

Expected volumes/weights:
Titan: 220 tons from 2 to 48
6Mo: 615 tons from 2 to 52

General requirements to the preferred supplier:
Steel bulk will be purchased through manufacturers, stock-holders and traders that can prove access to the required qualities and desired volumes. In addition to the minimum qualification requirements, it is expected that the Supplier can comply with the following:
Enough capacity to handle the volumes in the time frame we require in the project.
Access to qualified manufacturers. During the pre-qualification process, attention will be given to pre qualification requirements towards 2nd and 3rd tier suppliers.

In addition to the minimum qualification requirements, suppliers that can comply with the following will be given higher scores in the bid evaluation process (this is not evaluated in the pre-qualification process):
Legal Entity to be registered in NL
Warehousing facility in NL flexible stock program
Possibility to deliver to other locations than the yard in Bull Arm, Trinity Bay, for example workshops and welding shops that perform prefab for the Hebron project.

KKC in its sole discretion reserves the right to make the final determination of which applicants will receive an Invitation to Tender (ITT), which applicant(s) or combinations thereof will be awarded the final contract(s), or alternatively to not proceed with the ITT process.

The Bull Arm Fabrication site will be operating on a special project labour agreement. A Project description is available on the Hebron Project website (www.hebronproject.com).

Kiewit-Kvaerner Contractors strongly supports providing opportunities to commercially competitive Canadian companies and in particular those from Newfoundland and Labrador. At the Pre-Qualification stage companies will be required to complete a brief Canada/Newfoundland & Labrador Benefits questionnaire and will be asked to acknowledge their willingness to comply with the Benefits requirements. At the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage a comprehensive Benefits Questionnaire will be required to be completed.

Submission Requirements
Potential contenders are strongly encouraged to register with BIDS.ca.

Registration with BIDS.ca is, however, not a prerequisite for being considered for inclusion in our supplier database. If potential suppliers chose not to register with BIDS.ca, they are requested to advise KKC that they will not be registering and to request direct registration in KKCs supplier database. Basic information about the supplier should be delivered electronically.
