HEBRON GBS Project- Bull Arm: AB454: Rigging Materials and Supplies

Kiewit-Aker Contractors (KAC) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity for rigging materials and supplies for the project at Bull Arm Site, Trinity Bay, in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL), Canada for the Hebron Project.
The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:
AB454-A: General and Specific Supply of Rigging Materials and Equipment
∑ Provide North American made steel slings in various shapes and sizes, complete with grommets or other accessories as specified.
∑ Provide wire rope for crane, replacement lifting wire rope complete with test certificates and proof testing.
∑ Provide synthetic rope, slings and straps according to type and strength required.
∑ Provide protective devices such as softener for slings and rope as required.
∑ Provide North American made shackles and hooks to project specifications; RFID required for all shackles and hooks.
∑ Provide assembly of steel sling in a two or four way arrangement complete with D ring and specified hooks in various lengths and sizes; North American made product required complete with test certificate and proof testing.
∑ Provide traceability and tags on most slings.
∑ Provide manila rope for marine operation (mooring line)
∑ Provide general rope and accessories for tag line and all-purpose rope usage such as manila, polyester or polypropylene in various diameters and sizes.
AB454-B: Testing Services for Various Rigging Equipment; Proof Load Lifting Hardware Including Rigging Hardware, Shackles, Slings (Steel and Synthetics) Straps; Provide Evidence and Test Certificate
∑ Service includes pickup and return of various rigging hardware.
∑ Handling at testing facility.
∑ Service includes test certificate.
∑ Service includes notification/tracking on condition of rigging with respect to serviceability and safety.
Responding applicants are to clearly identify the procurement package code(s) for which they are interested in prequalifying for. Respondents may elect to prequalify for one or multiple packages listed above. KAC in its sole discretion reserves the right to make the final determination of which applicants will receive an invitation to Tender (ITT), which applicant(s) or combinations thereof will be awarded the final contract(s), or alternatively to not proceed with the ITT process.
The Bull Arm Fabrication site will be operating on a special project labour agreement. A Project description is available on the Hebron Project website (www.hebronproject.com).
Kiewit-Aker Contractors strongly supports providing opportunities to commercially competitive Canadian companies and in particular those from Newfoundland and Labrador. At the Pre-Qualification stage companies will be required to complete a brief Canada/Newfoundland & Labrador Benefits questionnaire and will be asked to acknowledge their willingness to comply with the Benefits requirements. At the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage a comprehensive Benefits Questionnaire will be required to be completed.

Potential contenders are strongly encouraged to register with BIDS.ca.
Registration with BIDS.ca is, however, not a prerequisite for being considered for inclusion in our supplier database. If potential suppliers chose not to register with BIDS.ca, they are requested to advise KAC that they will not be registering and to request direct registration in KACís supplier database.
