RFP Page 11 section 6.2
"The four Atlantic Provinces in partnership with Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and with the participation of as many as 40 Atlantic Canadian businesses will conduct a trade mission to Europe, in the Netherlands and Germany. Dates for the mission will be based upon delegate availability, but will be held from May 19 to 24th or alternatively on June 16 to 21, 2019. ..."
Q1. Please clarify if the intention is to have one trade mission with up to 40 companies or 2 separate missions with up to 20 companies per mission.
R1. We intend to have one mission with up to 20 companies. The mission will be split between Germany and the Netherlands where half of the time with be concentrated on B2B meetings in Germany and the other half on the Netherlands. Delegates have the option to attend one or both of the countries in the mission. Should they choose simply one country they may extend their travels through the week to cover more meetings. In this case, we would expect the minimum of 6 meetings per company be focused
on the one country in question. Should they choose two countries, we would expect the minimum of 6 meetings per company be distributed within the two countries. It is understood in this case that one country may offer more opportunities than another for meetings.
RFP Page 12 section 6.2
Anticipated outcomes are as follows:
1. Generate 100 pre-qualified leads for the Atlantic business delegation;
2. Project $10,000,000 in forecasted new sales of products and services within 12 months of mission as a direct result of the mission;
3. At least six pre-qualified meetings from the matchmaking program for each participating delegate company/organization (6 X 20 = 120 meetings). "
Q2. Please clarify is the number of leads is prorated to 20 or 40 companies/delegates. R2. Yes, the number of leads would be prorated based on the delegates.
Q3. Please clarify the methodology/assumptions to be used to project $10,000,000 in forecasted new sales. The consultant will not have control over the recruitment nor the product and/or service offerings thus projections will be made based upon a wide range of assumptions.
R3. Sales projections are subjective based on the participation, readiness, and product in question. The proponent would not be directly accountable for the sales figures. Rather they will be measured on the quantity and quality of meetings and leads provided to our companies.
Q4. Again please clarify the number of delegates.
R4. We would anticipate a minimum of 12 companies participating in the program and a maximum of 20 companies.
