Amendment #2

Please note that the following questions have been presented to PNB:

Q1: Can you please share historical laboratory analysis on Cr (VI) and typical volume per average concentration?
A1: The last time the analysis was carried out on the waste regenerant water (February 2013) the concentration of Cr (VI) was 15.8 mg/L (15.8ppm). Due to operation and seasonal conditions it is expected the waste regenerant Cr(VI) concentration could fluctuate between 10 mg/L and 30 mg/L. The concentration for total Chromium in the wastewater is essentially the same as the concentration for Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI). The typical volume that has been generated at this site has been between
500 and 1,500 imperial gallons per month (with each scheduled pickup being less than 1,100 igal).

Q2: We'd need a composite sample representative of the two line items of the Cr (VI). Approximately 2 L of each. Can this be accommodated by getting us the samples or would we have to sample ourselves? If we have to sample, please let us know what we need to collect the samples.
A2: The Department and our consultant will accommodate them collecting the sample; however they should bring their own lab specific sampling materials (i.e. 250 ml plastic bottles that could be picked up at a lab). They will also be responsible for sending the sample to the lab for analysis. Our consultant can provide a bailer to collect the sample.

Q3: On the spent resin, can you give us more information? Physical state; volume; contaminates of concerns and concentrations?
A3: Physical state: 90% solids with up to 10% liquid (chromium impacted)
Volume: Approximately 5 x (205 L barrels) per year - includes spent filters
Contaminants of concern: Cr(VI)
Concentrations: 0-10 PPM Cr

All other information remains the same.

Amendment #1

Please note that the following questions have been presented to PNB:

Q1: Please confirm site address to report for visit on Feb 14 at 2:30 PM.
A1: The site visit will be at the actual site - 32 Melissa Street.

Q2: Can you please provide a Safety Data Sheet for the waste it is you are asking to have disposed of?
A2: There is no MSDS sheet. The regenerant waste water, used filters and spent resin were all classified with concentrations. (the concentration of Hexavalent Chromium varies within the makeup).
